Ryan Bombard is the Executive Director of the Association of Nosara Firefighters and a veteran emergency responder with extensive experience in rescue operations, maritime safety, and community-based emergency services.

He began his career in rescue operations while still in high school on Catalina Island, California. After relocating with his family to Nosara in 1998, Bombard moved permanently to the region in 2007 and has since dedicated himself to strengthening local emergency response capabilities.

Bombard served 13 years in the United States Navy, including three years as an Aviation Rescue Swimmer and ten years as a Navy boat operator and combatant craft crewman, roles that required advanced training in high-risk rescue and operational environments.

In 2009, he co-founded the Nosara Fire and Rescue Department, where he continues to play an active leadership role. He received professional training at the College of Oceaneering in California, earning certifications as a Diving Medical Technician (DMT) and Welding Technician.

Through his leadership, Bombard has been instrumental in building emergency response infrastructure in Nosara, combining military discipline, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to community safety.
