ABOUT THE BLISS SUMMIT

The BLISS Summit is an invitation-only global gathering in Costa Rica, founded by Demo Lab Foundation (Demo Lab) and co-hosted with The Reynolds Foundation.

BLISS convenes visionary philanthropists, artists, technologists, leaders, activists and family office principles, to invest in freedom and democracy.

This is the strategic table for freedom. The question is no longer why to act, but how and with whom.

WHY IS BLISS SUMMIT IMPORTANT?

THE PROBLEM

73% of the world lives under non-democratic rule (V-Dem Democracy Report, 2024).

Authoritarian regimes coordinate repression across borders with financial, technological, and narrative tools.

Yet less than 1% of global philanthropic capital supports freedom, democracy, and human rights (Democracy Fund, 2024).

This is not just a freedom and democracy crisis. It’s a funding crisis. Without freedom, every other philanthropic ambition: education, health, climate, innovation, stands on fragile ground.

THE SOLUTION

BLISS is a capital flywheel: coordinated investments flow into high-leverage projects, generating compounding impact and attracting more resources. This is how freedom becomes investible and scalable.

WHY COSTA RICA:

In a region marked by tyranny, Costa Rica offers freedom, peace, and liberal democracy. Hosting BLISS in Costa Rica’s Blue Zone isn’t just symbolic, it’s strategic. It provides a rare safe haven to think boldly, build freely, and act without fear.

THE BLISS ECOSYSTEM

BLISS operates through a coordinated architecture of institutions, individuals, and platforms, all aligned to scale freedom-first solutions.

Demo Lab Foundation is the host of the BLISS Summit. Based in Costa Rica, Demo Lab Foundation is a civic laboratory advancing freedom through education, innovation, and ecosystem building. It trains emerging leaders, develops civic technology, and convenes networks to defend freedom and democracy across Latin America and beyond.

The Reynolds Foundation is the Summit’s co-host and a global architect for freedom. The Foundation invests in leaders, systems, and institutions that promote, defend, and expand freedom and human dignity.

The BLISS Makers are the human engine of the movement; a global network of philanthropists, artists, academics, family offices, and activists who turn conviction into coordinated capital. They embody the values of gratitude, togetherness, and action.

THE TRUTH WE SEEK

This year’s theme, “The Truth We Seek,” challenges our community to confront disinformation, polarization, and civic decay through transparency, trust, and long-term investment.

We convene at BLISS to enable candid dialogue, cross-border collaboration, and catalytic capital deployment at a moment when the future of freedom depends on institutional clarity, trust, and making freedom investible.
