Roberto Salinas León

Roberto Salinas León is Director of International Affairs for the Universidad de la Libertad in Mexico City. He holds a B.A. in Political Economy, History, and Philosophy from Hillsdale College, Michigan, and an M.A. and Ph. D. in Philosophy, Purdue University, Indiana.

He is Senior Fellow for Latin America of Atlas Network; Senior Debate Fellow and Debate Lecturer, Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation; and Adjunct Fellow of the Cato Institute. He is the President of Alamos Alliance, an annual economic and policy symposium held in the town of Álamos, Sonora. For thirty-two years, this gathering has hosted the most recognized names in economics and public policy in Latin America and throughout the world.

He has published more than 2,000 editorials (English and Spanish) on public policy topics; is an occasional columnist in The Wall Street Journal, The Journal of Commerce, Investor’s Business Daily, Barrons, Nexos, and several others.

He is an occasional commentator for CNN, CNN Latinomerica, CNCB, Reuters, National Public Radio, BBC Radio, TV Azteca, AND 40, and others. He has delivered over 1,000 lectures in Mexico, the U.S., Canada, several countries in Central and South America, and throughout Europe and Asia, including testimony before the U.S. Congress on three occasions.

He was recognized among Mexico’s group of 300 leaders by Líderes Mexicanos.
