Ninfa Salinas Sada

CHAIRWOMAN, AZTECA FOUNDATION OF GRUPO SALINAS; FORMER MEXICAN SENATOR

Ninfa Salinas Sada is a business leader, former legislator, and civic advocate committed to creating long-term value for Mexico through education and citizen participation. She is the President of the Board of Fundación Azteca, the social arm of Grupo Salinas, which for over 27 years has focused on empowering young people with the tools needed to transform their lives.

Within Grupo Salinas, she serves as Vice President of the Executive Committee and is also President of Grupo Dragón, a renewable energy company dedicated to electricity generation from sustainable sources.

She chairs the Group’s Advisory Councils, strategic platforms that connect more than 300 leading business figures across Mexico, fostering dialogue and collaboration on national development priorities.

Ninfa Salinas previously served as a Senator of the Republic representing the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM) during the LXII and LXIII Legislatures (2012–2018), and earlier as a Federal Deputy in the LXI Legislature (2009–2012), becoming one of the youngest women to hold the position. During her time in Congress, she chaired the Environment and Natural Resources Commission in both chambers.

She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University and is recognized for her leadership at the intersection of business, public policy, environmental stewardship, and social impact.
