Dr. Dionisio Gutiérrez is a distinguished entrepreneur, sociologist, and communicator who serves as President of Fundación Libertad y Desarrollo. He holds a Doctorate in Sociology and Political Science from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and is an active member of leadership and public policy councils at prestigious institutions such as Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Instituto Atlántico de Gobierno, and Freedom House. For over thirty-three years, he was Corporate President of CMI, Corporación Multi-Inversiones, a multinational company incorporated in 1902 with over 50,000 employees with presence in three Continents. Dr. Gutiérrez is a recognized authority in political analysis. He currently hosts Razón de Estado, a program broadcast throughout the Americas.
His dedication to democracy, the rule of law, and development has earned him numerous international honors, including the “Empowerment of Democracy” Award, Spain’s Order of Civil Merit, recognition by Bloomberg as one of Latin America’s most influential leaders (2024), and the Enrique V. Iglesias Award (2025).
