Camelia Ilie Cardoza

PRESIDENT, INCAE 

Dr. Camelia Ilie is President and Professor of Corporate Governance, Leadership, and Change at INCAE Business School, one of Latin America’s leading institutions.  She has over 30 years of international experience in strategy, innovation, and financial management across Europe, the United States, and Latin America. At INCAE, she has served as Dean of  Strategy and Institutional Affairs, Dean of Executive Education and Strategic Innovation, and Chair of the Leadership  Center. Under her guidance, INCAE’s Executive Education has been consistently ranked among the Top 25 worldwide  by the Financial Times. She also led the creation of INCAE Online, an innovative digital learning platform developed in
alliance with Emeritus, which today reaches more than 6,500 participants annually from 15 countries.

Dr. Ilie collaborates with presidents, CEOs, and board members to enhance governance systems and drive digital  transformation and innovation through prospective leadership. She has collaborated with multinational organizations,  including Banco Santander, PwC, the Inter-American Development Bank, Bankinter, Telefónica, Iberia, Maersk, and
Copa Airlines.

Trained as an engineer, Dr. Ilie earned her doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Comillas in Spain.  She has worked at IE Business School and ESADE and was a research fellow at Harvard University’s Rockefeller Center  for Latin American Studies.

She also contributes regularly to La Revista, Harvard Review of Latin America, through her column “Perspectives in Times of Change.” Her research focuses on corporate governance, higher education, business school models, MBA programs, female entrepreneurship, and leadership. Her contributions have been recognized by organizations and media, including Forbes, BlueSky Thinking, and the Women’s Economic Forum, reflecting her ongoing commitment to strengthening leadership, innovation, and education.
